Inter yet to give Mourinho 'indelible memories'
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

He led Inter to the Serie A title last season - his first in Italy - but Mourinho claims he is yet to make a massive impact with the Nerazzurri.
"Among (the career highlights) are certainly the draw against Sporting Lisbon with a ten-man Uniao Leiria, then the UEFA Cup I won with Porto in 2003 and the first league title with Chelsea," Mourinho recalled. "As for Inter, I don't have indelible memories yet because I am an ambitious person and always hungry.
"I want new challenges and new conquests. And only then will they be imprinted in my memory."
Elsewhere, Fiorentina striker Alberto Gilardino has been hit with a two-match Champions League ban.
The Italy striker was sent off for elbowing Lyon's Jeremy Toulalan during last week's matchday one 1-0 defeat and UEFA have now decided to double the automatic one-match ban.
Gilardino will now miss La Viola's next two group stage games against Liverpool and Debrecen before returning against the Hungarian champions when they visit Florence.
"UEFA's disciplinary commission has given Alberto Gilardino a two-match suspension after his sending off against Lyon," confirmed a statement. "The player will be able to play on November 4 at the Artemio Franchi against Debrecen."
