Monkey chants appeared to be aimed at several Tottenham players during the last-16 tie at the San Siro on March 14, notably goalscorer Adebayor, while a fan was seen with an inflatable banana.
Earlier in the season Lazio were also fined for racist chanting in their Group J tie at White Hart Lane in September and were reprimanded again for racist behaviour in November's return game.
Adebayor scored the vital goal as Spurs lost 4-1 after extra time on the night but progressed to the quarter-finals on away goals after the tie finished 4-4 on aggregate.
But his achievement was soon marred by reports of abuse from the home fans.
This is not the only time this season that Inter fans have been accused of directing racist abuse at players, with inflatable bananas also being waved at AC Milan's Mario Balotelli during the derby clash in February.
Benfica were also handed a 32,000 euros fine related to incidents at their last-16 match against Bordeaux in Lisbon on March 7.
Both clubs have the option to appeal the decisions.
