From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Following Everton’s fine 4-1 victory over Young Boys last week, the Swiss side need to win by a four goal margin if they are to progress to the next round of the Europa League.
The visitors will have a point to prove after their humiliation at the Stade de Suisse and their boss, Uli Forte, will undoubtedly have them fired up.
It is also not out the question, with the Toffees' defensive frailties being exposed once more during the 2-2 draw with Premier League bottom club Leicester City last weekend.
As leaders Chelsea proved earlier in the season, beating Roberto Martinez's side 6-3, it is possible to leave Goodison Park with a handsome victory.
Young Boys are second in the Swiss league, winning seven of their last eight games, and they are only five points off leaders Basel. But realistically, going into the next round is a big ask.
