The Roma striker had the opportunity to open the scoring against Palermo when the ball was played to him at the back post.
Unmarked, three-yards from goal, free from pressure and the entire goal at his mercy - somehow the former Manchester City player contrived to put the ball wide of the far post.

Thankfully for Dzeko and his pride, the Bosnia-Herzegovina international managed to get on the scoresheet just a couple of minutes later and his team went on to win the Serie A meeting 5-0.
However it was another former Premier League star, one-time Chelsea player Mohamed Salah, who stole the show. The winger scored twice but his second goal from what appeared to be an impossible angle was easily the best...

Dzeko scored the final goal of the match and Seydou Keita got the other as Roma held on to fourth spot in Serie A.
