Dusan Tadic produced a stunning assist as Ajax shocked Real Madrid to lead 2-0 in the first half at the Bernabeu.

Tadic had already created one for Hakim Ziyech when he collected the ball just inside Real’s half and began scheming another Ajax goal.

The Serbian shook off one defender and then shimmied away from him for good measure, before driving forwards and pulling off an audacious pirouette to beat Real’s midfielder enforcer, Casemiro.

As he approached the box a panicked defence splintered, and Tadic took the opportunity to thread a perfectly weighted pass into the path of David Neres cutting in from the left.

It was a stunning piece of play by the former Southampton midfielder which left Neres with the simple task of finishing past Thibaut Courtois from close range.

The goal sent Ajax in front, leading 3-2 on aggregate and on the brink of knocking out the reigning European champions.
