At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Jose Mourinho took the chance to rest some of his established first-team players, but Real still had too much for Apoel. Mourinho said: "Bayern is a very powerful opponent. It is a team I know well as it is almost the same side that I played when coach of Inter Milan in the Champions League final two years ago and they have great individual players."
Already leading 3-0 from the first leg, the hosts had to wait until the 26th minute to open the scoring as Cristiano Ronaldo tapped home Marcelo's cross at the back post. Kaka then doubled Real's lead with a stunning effort from outside the area.
After the break Ronaldo grabbed his second but the Cypriot side gave the scoreline some respectability, Gustavo Manduca scoring the pick of their two goals.
