Chelsea loanee Mohamed Salah becomes instant crowd favourite at Fiorentina, but one over-eager fan carves his name into his front door

Your support makes all the difference.Mohamed Salah may be new to Florence, but that hasn’t stopped him from finding his goalscoring boots to show Chelsea what their missing. But his strong start with Fiorentina has come at a cost – as somebody has carved his own name into his front door.
Salah left Chelsea in January to head to Italy on a loan deal until the end of the season. The Egyptian struggled to adapt to life at Stamford Bridge since his move from Basle in January 2014, but he has quickly returned to his best having struck six goals in just eight games in all competitions – which included a goal against Tottenham in their Europe League last-32 clash.
With that kind of record, it’s no surprise that Salah has quickly become a crowd favourite, but one fan has taken it a little bit too far to border on the creepy.
Salah posted a picture on his Twitter account that showed his own surname carved into the front door of his temporary Italian home, complete with a love heart below with an arrow running through it.
Needless to say, the 22-year-old was left a little bit shocked.
Salag is unlikely to return to Chelsea even when his loan deal expires given the big money transfer of Juan Cuadrado, who completed a move in the opposite direction as he left Fiorentina to join the Blues in a deal that could cost up to £26.8m.
But should he maintain his current level of form, Salah will surely find himself a new home in Italy as the Seria A club would be stupid to let him go – and he’ll now need a new front door too.
