Your support makes all the difference.Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea’s opponents in the last-16 of the Champions League later this month, set a Ligue 1 record by beating Lorient to extend their unbeaten run to 33 games on Tuesday night.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 28th goal of the season as Laurent Blanc’s side strolled to a 3-1 win in the French capital – breaking the record set by Nantes in the 1994-95 season.
PSG are now 24 points above second-placed Monaco as their march to the title continued.
The French champions host Chelsea in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on February 16, and they are in ominous form, with 10 wins in their 11 games at the Parc des Princes.
Their record on the road is even better, with 35 points from a possible 39 and just three goals conceded, and they have lost just once in the Champions League, away to Real Madrid.
One positive for Chelsea is that if Ibrahimovic can be kept quiet, PSG’s goal threat is significantly lower.
Aside from the prolific Swede, only Edinson Cavani has hit double figures this season, scoring 14 goals in all competitions. Blanc’s side play twice more in the league, against Marseille and Lille, before they host Guus Hiddink’s side.
