Roberto Mancini's side host Dortmund on 3 October know that the Germans champions' 1-0 win puts them in the box seat. Dortmund's main threat will undoubtedly be Lewandowski, who was linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester United in the summer after scoring 22 Bundesliga goals last season.
Schalke ensured it was a good night for German sides as they joined Arsenal on three points in Group B with a 2-1 win at Olympiakos.

The former Chelsea defender Alex then added a third before half time. The Ukrainians pulled back a goal through Miguel Veloso but Javier Pastore added a fourth for PSG to ensure Carlo Ancelotti's side a perfect start in Group A.
