From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Paris Saint-Germain will be without star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic after he was sent off in the last minute of the first leg. Despite the red card, Carlo Ancelotti’s men will take a one goal lead back to the Parc des Princes and that gives them the advantage going into this game.
Valencia will hope they can bounce back and get more than twogoals in France to keep their Champions League dreams alive with away goals. They’ll look to midfielder Jonas and striker Roberto Soldado to supply some clinical finishing to get them through this difficult tie.
Not having to deal with the skills, height and quick feet of Ibrahimovic will help the away sides cause, but PSG have a very strong squad and replacements that can get goals up front without the Swede. There is also a chance that David Beckham could make his Champions League debut for his new club.
