It is the second successive season in which all the Premier League clubs competing in the group stages have progressed.
While City topped Group F, qualifying ahead of Lyon, the other three clubs all finished as runners-up and will play group winners in the next round.
The four Premier League clubs cannot be drawn against each other due to country protection and also cannot play the team which qualified from their group.
Tottenham, Liverpool and United qualified with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus respectively.

Manchester City: Atletico Madrid, Schalke 04, Ajax, Roma
Manchester United: Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Porto, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid
Tottenham Hotspur: Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, Porto, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Juventus
Liverpool: Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Porto, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Juventus
When is the draw?
The draw takes place in Nyon on Monday 17 December, following the completion of the group stages on 12 and 13 December.
What time is the draw?
It will be held at 11.00am GMT.
Where can I watch it?
The draw will be shown live by BT Sport.
If, however, you cannot watch the draw, you will be able to follow The Independent’s live blog.
How does it work?
As per usual at this stage of the competition, the draw will be seeded, with group winners playing group runners-up.
No team can be drawn against another from their group stage. Teams cannot be drawn against others from their respective nation either.
The seeded group winners will play the first leg away and the second leg at home.
When will the round of 16 take place?
This year’s round of 16 matches will take place from 12-20 February, with the second legs following 5-13 March.
