Your support makes all the difference.Fabricio, the Besiktas goalkeeper, began to cry after conceding four first-half goals in his side’s 6-0 Champions League defeat to Dynamo Kiev.
The 28-year-old struggled to hold back the tears after Derlis Gonzalez scored in stoppage time at the end of the first half.
Besiktas only needed a point from Tuesday’s clash to qualify for the knock-out stages of the competition but instead found themselves one man and four goals down by the interval.
Artem Besedin, Andriy Yarmolenko and Vitaliy Buyalskiy had all beaten the helpless Fabricio before Gonzalez’s strike provoked a lachrymose reaction from the Spanish ‘keeper.
Things only got worse in the second half, with Besiktas reduced to nine men after Vincent Aboubakar received his second booking of the night.
Serhiy Serdochuk and Junior Moraes then notched for Kiev, who had already been eliminated from Group B.
The result sealed Besiktas’ exit from this year’s Champions League at the group stage, but the Turkish Super Lig club still finished above Kiev in third place.
Şenol Guneş’ side will now enter the Europa League.
