From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Manchester City will be looking to finish their Champions League group campaign strongly tonight when they take on Bayern Munich in Germany.
Both teams are already through to the last 16 of the competition and Bayern will top the group with a win or a draw. The German side could even afford to lose and still secure first place so long as it was by a single-goal margin or a two-goal defeat.
City have enjoyed their best ever Champions League campaign so far with four wins and one defeat, their only loss being at the hands of Bayern Munich back in November.
Pep Guardiola's team are currently enjoying a 40 game unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga, with their last loss occurring back in October 2012. They have also won every Champions League group match this season, beating fellow Group D teams with a goal difference of 13 in five games.
