Arsenal's display during last night's defeat to Borussia Dortmund was below par - an accusation that could also be levelled at Lukas Podolski's finding abilities.

The Arsenal forward was brought on as a second-half substitute during last night's Champions League group game, but before entering the field of play, endured a minor panic when he couldn't locate his shin pads.

The German World Cup winner was seen asking his team-mates on the bench if they could find them, with Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil checking they weren't sitting on them.

When they still couldn't be located Ozil simply took his own off and tossed them to his team-mate.

Podsolski failed to make much of an impact after coming on as Arsenal lost 2-0 at the Westfalenstadion.
