From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. It’s a big game for…

Seydou Keita: It will be the Malian’s first return to the Nou Camp since his exit from the club in 2012. The combative midfielder earned praise from pundits during his four years with Barça for his reliable and mature performances in the engine room. He will need to have his wits about him in order to restrain his former team on Tuesday.

Weird stat…

0: Barcelona have not beaten Roma in any of their three competitive encounters.

Remember when…

In the return fixture in September, Roma midfielder Alessandro Florenzi lobbed Marc-André ter Stegen from just inside the visitor’s half. As a result, he was nominated for this year’s Puskas award.

Player to watch…

Miralem Pjanić: The Bosnian may have sunk under the radar in his country’s recent qualifiers against Ireland, however he has been in sparkling form for Roma this season. Having already notched eight goals in all competitions, he will hope to add to that tally against Barcelona, who are rumoured to be keeping tabs on the midfielder.

Past three meetings…

Roma 3 (Emerson, Montella, Tommasi) Barcelona 0, Champions League, February 2002

Barcelona 1 (Kluivert) Roma 1 (Panucci), Champions League, February 2002
