It’s hard not to love Jurgen Klopp, even if you’re not a Liverpool fan. The smiling German is a bundle of nerves and excitement on the touchline during matches, yet manages to charm journalists in press conferences as well as making a joke or two at their expense.

And it turns out his own players aren’t exempt from a trick every now and then. While the Liverpool manager was overseeing training ahead of tonight’s Europa League last-32 first leg against Augsburg, he saw an opportunity that he simply couldn’t turn down.

With striker Roberto Firmino standing directly in front of Klopp, legs spread apart as he warmed up, the German comically nutmegged the Brazil forward much to his amusement.

As Klopp couldn’t resist letting a broad smile spread across his face, Firmino chuckled to himself before wagging a finger in the direction of his manager.

Klopp will hope that his side are able to turn on the skill when they face Augsburg tonight, given Liverpool’s best chance of reaching the Champions League next season appears to come from winning its sister competition.

With the second leg set to return to Anfield next week, Klopp will hope to secure at least one away goal in Germany to give the Reds the best chance of reaching the last-16.
