Since then he’s guided Arsenal to this stage of the competition 15 times in the last 16 years, but they’ve lost at this point for the past four years, something they will be confident they can amend this time around.
The Gunners’ finished runners-up to Borussia Dortmund in the group stage, losing just once and were unbeaten at home. They may well have finished above the German side had it not been for the disappointing 3-3 draw with Anderlecht in early November.
Monaco will head to London in high spirits though as they have lost just two of their last 17 games in all competitions. Leonardo Jardim’s side proved a lot of people wrong after they managed to top a tough group ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, Zenit and Benfica, only losing once in the process.
