From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Arsenal have lodged their Champions League group stage squad with Uefa, with Arsene Wenger able to call upon summer signing Petr Cech.
Wenger will be hoping the former Chelsea stopper's experience - he is the only player in the squad to have lifted the trophy - can help the Gunners add to their single Champions League final appearance.
Also in the squad is Jeff Reine-Adelaide, the 17-year-old who turned heads during his participation in the pre-season Emirates Cup tournament.
The young Frenchman is yet to make an appearance in a competitive match for the Gunners but may get the chance to do so on club football's biggest stage.
Wenger named the maximum allocation of 25 players on his 'A list'. He also included seven youngsters on his 'B list'. According to the Uefa website: "A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 1994 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with Uefa." 'B list' players are available for selection in the same way as their 'A list' counterparts.
Arsenal play Bayern Munich, Olympiakos and Dinamo Zagreb in Group F.
