From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Alexis Sanchez has proved a massive hit with the Arsenal faithful so far since his £35m move from Barcelona this summer, for his relentless attacking displays, and his, erm, constantly animated face.

The Chilean seemingly has far more control over the ball than he does his face, as this gallery (bellow) shows.

The 25-year-old has scored in each of his last three matches for Arsenal, his latest goal a stunning volley against Manchester City in the 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. His strike made it 2-1 to the Gunners with 16 minutes remaining, but Martin Demichelis equalised nine minutes later.

In total, Sanchez has scored three goals in seven appearances for Arsenal, and is expected to feature for the club in their Champions League tie at Borussia Dortmund tomorrow night.

Arsenal also added Mathieu Debuchy, David Ospina, Calum Chambers, and Danny Welbeck to their ranks this summer.
