England take on Australia fresh from securing another piece of silverware.

The Lionesses outlasted Brazil in a tense penalty shootout to take the spoils in the first women’s Finalissima.

Sarina Wiegman’s side now continue their preparations for the World Cup with an encounter against the Matildas.

As co-hosts of this summer’s tournament, Australia will be desperate to regain some of the momentum lost in a 1-0 defeat to Scotland on Friday night that ended a seven-match winning run.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When is England vs Australia?

England vs Australia is due to kick off at 7.45pm BST on Tuesday 11 April at the Gtech Community Stadium, the home ground of Brentford in London.

How can I watch it?

Viewers in the United Kingdom can watch the match live on ITV4, with coverage from 7pm. Registered users can watch the match via the ITVX app or online player.

Team news

Alex Greenwood has pulled out of the England squad for this fixture after appearing to suffer a head injury during the Finalissima win, though the defender was able to complete the full game and score during the penalty shootout. No replacement has been called up but Greenwood’s absence will necessitate a defensive change. This is the final scheduled fixture for the Lionesses before the World Cup, which means Sarina Wiegman may stick with largely a first-choice team.

Australia are expected to recall star forward Sam Kerr, who was rested for the Scotland defeat in a slightly changed Matildas side. Caitlin Foord and Alanna Kennedy remain out and Emily van Egmond and Holly McNamara have both withdrawn from Tony Gustavsson’s squad.

Predicted line-ups

England XI: Earps; Bronze, Williamson, Wubben-Moy, Carter; Stanway, Walsh, Toone; Kelly, Russo, Hemp.

Australia XI: Arnold; Carpenter, Hunt, Polkinghorne, Grant; Gorry, Cooney-Cross; Raso, Fowler, Vine; Kerr.

Odds

England win 2/9

Draw 4/1

Australia win 10/1

Prediction

While England will be wary of Sam Kerr’s threat particularly, the hosts should continue their unblemished run under Sarina Wiegman. England 2-1 Australia
