This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

CHANCE! Fulham should have broke the deadlock. Cordova-Reid drives down the middle of the pitch and has options to his left and right outside the box. He slots a pass into the feet of Jimenez, who decides against shooting from a tight angle. He looks for Pereira, who is free next to the goal, but it evades his outstretched foot.

Robinson displays his pace and pushes the ball past Ward, running the other way around him to get onto the end of it on the other side. The USA international then whips a cross into the box towards Jimenez, but Guehi gets across to head it away.

Hughes plays a short pass across to Eze, who unleashes a curling effort from the edge of the box. The ball hits the elbow of Castagne, but his arms were by his side.

They have lost just two of their last 12 home Premier League matches (winning four and drawing six), defeats against Man City in March and Arsenal in August.
