Chelsea did enjoy more possession during the opening 45 minutes with 53.6%, though they need to be more productive with it upon the restart. Indeed, the Blues are looking to turn things around against the side who are unbeaten in 65 Premier League games when leading at half-time.

On his 100th appearance for the club, it is fitting that Haaland's goal is the one that separates City and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Guardiola's side, who have an xG of 0.59 compared to Chelsea's 0.38 and a 72.2% live win probability, broke through in the 18th minute when Silva helped Doku's ball into Haaland, who neatly beat Sanchez from close range. The Blues thought they had equalised before the break through Jackson, but he was denied by the offside flag.
