Ange Postecoglou’s side are nine points clear with eight games left of the 2022/23 campaign and have won each of their last 15 matches since a 2-2 with Rangers back in January - Kyogo Furuhashi struck an 88th minute equaliser to earn a point for the Hoops.
Rangers boss, Michael Beale, who has won 15 matches out of 16 to date, knows his team will need to record two wins over the reigning champions to stand any chance of keeping their title prospects alive after failing to close the gap due to Celtic’s incredible run of form.
In addition, Rangers supporters will not be allowed to attend the game following several incidents across the city between rival fans. Celtic informed Rangers they would not be taking fans to the encounter later this season and the Ibrox side did the same for Saturday’s meeting.
