Arteta: Arsenal's win over Bournemouth was a "beautiful experience"

Premier League leaders Arsenal return to European action tonight as Mikel Arteta’s side travel to Sporting Lisbon in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash.

Arsenal have won three games in row to open up a five-point lead over Manchester City in the title race, with Reiss Nelson’s dramatic winner in the thrilling 3-2 win over Bournemouth on Sunday their moment of the season so far.

The Gunners have a real chance to win the Premier League for the first time since 2004 with just 12 matches of the season remaining, but Arteta’s side must now switch their focus to European pursuits.

Arsenal finished ahead of PSV Eindhoven to top Group A and qualify for the last-16, while Sporting thrashed Midtjylland in the play-off round after dropping down from the Champions League group stages, where they lost out to Tottenham.
