Adams (ankle) may well be fit after his ankle injury, although Garde could continue. Merson is available again. Leicester's captain Walsh (bruised toe) is very doubtful. Grayson and Parker (both ankle) are also doubtful.
Blackburn v Man Utd
Last season: 1-2. Last five League matches: Blackburn Rovers DWLLD; Manchester United WLWWL.
Rovers have a full squad to choose from as Sherwood (suspension) and Flitcroft (ankle) are back. United are still likely to be without Schmeichel and May, while top scorer Solskjaer, Giggs and Irwin are also doubtful.
Derby v Aston Villa
Last season: No corresponding game. Last five League matches: Derby LLWWD; Aston Villa LDWWW.
Derby have goalkeeper problems with Poom (shoulder) and Hoult (cut eye) injured. Taylor has been recalled from loan at Wycombe. Staunton (calf) is fit to replace from Hughes. Bosnich is fit again but Oakes may stay in goal.
Everton v Tottenham
Last season: 1-1. Last five League matches: Everton LWLLD; Tottenham Hotspur WDLWL.
Everton midfielder Parkinson (knee), Unsworth (hamstring) and Short (back) are doubtful. Rideout is back from China. Tottenham's Nielsen (foot) is a doubt, Iversen (knee) is out but Vega (hamstring) is fit for a recall.
Southampton v West Ham
Last season: 0-0. Last five League matches: Southampton LLDWD; West Ham WDDWD.
Le Tissier (foot, groin and inflamed knee tendon) is extremely doubtful for Southampton. Evans stands by. West Ham have captain Dicks available after suspension but he has a slight knee injury.
Sheff Wed v Newcastle
Last season: 0-2. Last five League matches: Sheffield Wednesday WWLDW; Newcastle LLWDD.
Hirst is struggling to be fit but Wednesday strike partner Booth should be back. Stefanovic (suspension) may be recalled. Newcastle's Ferdinand (shoulder) is hopeful. Lee should also be fit, but Albert, Beresford and Howey are still out.
Sunderland v Liverpool
Last season: No corresponding game. Last five League matches: Sunderland WLLDD; Liverpool LWDWL.
Sunderland's Gray (groin) should be fit. Stewart (calf) may be preferred to Bridges up front against his old club if fit. Eriksson is doubtful. Liverpool have no injuries but manager Evans may drop Collymore and Harkness.
