Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

FA CUP SIXTH ROUND

Blackburn v Sheffield Utd

Kevin Moran is back for Rovers after resting in midweek and has the job of marking Brian Deane. Dave Bassett could name an unchanged Sheffield side for only the second time this season as they pursue their first semi-final for 32 years.

Ipswich Town v Arsenal

Ipswich wait for late tests on Dozzell (thigh) and Gavin Johnson (back) as they look for their first semi-final place since 1981. Kiwomya (thigh) is also under treatment. Arsenal's Tony Adams returns. Smith and Merson are also set to return, but Hillier (ankle and neck) and Morrow (calf) are doubtful. Paul Davis is poised to make his 400th senior appearance.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Liverpool v Manchester Utd

Ian Rush is unlikely to be recalled to Liverpool after Barnes has shrugged off an ankle injury. Cantona's two- match ban for United means Kanchelskis will probably be recalled. He faces competition from Phelan, Ferguson and Dublin who is back in the squad for the first time since breaking a leg in September.

QPR v Norwich City

QPR miss Simon Barker after an exploratory knee operation and Andy Sinton (bruised foot) is doubtful. Maurice Doyle could be drafted into midfield. Norwich wait on midfield pair Ian Crook and Gary Megson. Ian Butterworth is still out.

Wimbledon v Southampton

Wimbledon's Dean Holdsworth (back) returns after missing last week's game at Aston Villa. Scott Fitzgerald and Greg Berry have been added to a 17-man squad. Richard Hall joins Terry Hurlock and Francis Benali on the Southampton sidelines after reaching 21 disciplinary points. Iain Dowie (dead leg) is likely to be missing but Monkou (hamstring) has recovered.

TOMORROW

Manchester C v Tottenham

Keith Curle (back) will make his comeback for City. Tottenham see the return of Ruddock and Edinburgh. Sheringham is likely to be lone striker in the absence of Barmby and Durie. There could be a midfield anchor role for Steve Sedgley who last started a match in October.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Coventry City v Everton

Coventry have Sean Flynn standing by for Micky Gynn (groin). Lee Hurst and Kevin Gallacher are non-starters. Ian Snodin is fit for Everton.
