Aston Villa v Wimbledon
With Atkinson sidelined for a month after stomach operation and Parker (rib) also out, Regis may come in alongside Saunders in attack with Yorke in midfield. Froggatt is fit to return in place of Beinlich. Wimbledon striker Holdsworth (back) faces a test; Cotterill and Clarke stand by. Defender Fitzgerald is added to the squad.
Crystal Palace v Coventry City
Thomas returns to midfield after flu, probably at Bowry's expense, and Coleman returns in attack in place of the injured Williams (ankle). Coventry have Hurst and Gallacher injured, Ndlovu on international duty and goalkeeper Ogrizovic doubtful with an ankle problem.
Everton v Oldham Athletic
Everton have added Kenny and striker Rideout to their squad. Kearton again deputises for Southall. Oldham have striker Ritchie and defender Halle fit again, but Pointon, McDonald and Sharp are all injured.
Manchester U v Middlesbrough
United will be unchanged with Giggs likely to be given a roving role. Boro's Kernaghan returns after a three-month absence with a stress fracture and winger Hendrie and midfielder Mustoe are in the squad.
Sheffield Wed v Liverpool
Wednesday, chasing a club-record ninth successive League and cup win, will be without Wilson (rib), and the midfielders Sheridan (calf) and Bart-Williams (groin) are doubtful. If Warhurst finds the net, he will equal Dooley's record of scoring in nine successive games, set in the 1950s. Liverpool's Norwegian defender Bjornebye, who was expected to be out for three weeks, will play despite breaking his nose last week, while Burrows returns after a three-month absence with a knee injury.
Southampton v Sheffield U
Southampton have Benali and Hurlock suspended, but Le Tissier (ankle) and Monkou (hamstring) are fit. Sheffield United's wingers Hodges and Carr, and midfielders Hartfield and Gannon, face tests.
Tottenham Hotspur v QPR
Cundy could play his first Spurs game since December in place of the suspended central defender Ruddock, although Sedgley and Nethercott compete for the place. Rangers recall Northern Ireland defender McDonald and striker White after two-match bans.
Leeds United v Ipswich Town
McAllister (broken left arm) ends an unbroken 110-match run since joining Leeds from Leicester in 1990. Speed, Batty, Strachan, Fairclough and Dorigo need fitness tests. Ipswich are likely to field an unchanged team.
Nottingham F v Manchester C
Forest have added leading scorer Bannister and midfielder Gemmill to an injury list, which includes Webb, Orlygsson and Pearce. Glover comes into the attack and Black replaces Gemmill. City have player-manager Reid in their squad after flu and Simpson back after suspension, but Phelan (hamstring) and Holden (knee) face tests.

Norwich's Goss (hamstring) needs a fitness test and midfielder Johnson misses the match to fly to Australia for the World Youth Cup. Minett stands by and Sutton returns after missing two games with tonsillitis.
