Keith Alexander, the former Lincoln manager and Mansfield assistant manager, has succeeded the sacked ex-Welsh international, Leighton James, as manager of the Beazer Homes club, Ilkeston.

Jimmy Mullen, the former Burnley manager who left the club last week in the wake of a supporters' campaign against him, has joined Bolton to carry out scouting assignments.
