VICTORY FOR Lazio at Fiorentina today will take the Italian League leaders to the brink of their first Serie A title for a quarter of a century.
They will face determined opponents in Fiorentina, however. After four defeats in six matches, the Florentines risk losing the fourth and last qualification place for next season's Champions' League. If Lazio do slip up, Milan will take top spot as long as they beat Empoli, already relegated and without an away win in more than a year.
