Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Bruce Dyer, who scored a hat-trick as Crystal Palace beat Leicester on Saturday was happy that his side has an away trip for the FA Cup fifth round, even thoguh it is to Arsenal.
"It should be a good match. Our home form hasn't been the best this year so we've got to be pleased with an away draw," Dyer said."We drew with them earlier this season. And we might have Attilio Lombardo and Michele Padovano back."
Manchester United have a home date against the winner of the fourth-round replay between Barnsley and Tottenham, a draw that delighted United's manager, Alex Ferguson
After yesterday's Midlands derby with West Brom, Aston Villa must play host to another local side, Coventry. Villa brushed aside the Albion challenge 4-0, but the arrival of Dion Dublin, Darren Huckerby and co will provide stiffer opposition.
Leeds must overcome Birmingham to progress in the competition but Trevor Francis' side will take heart from the fact that George Graham's side have lost to First Division opposition in both their last Coca-Cola and FA Cup assaults.
