The Port Vale striker Lee Glover, 26, will become Rotherham United's record signing when the former Nottingham Forest player joins the South Yorkshire club for pounds 150,000 today.

Brighton have been ordered to pay an initial fee of pounds 80,000 for the Rochdale midfielder Jason Peake, with further instalments of up to pounds 25,000 after 40 appearences. Rochdale will receive 20 per cent of any profit should the player be sold again.

A Football League tribunal yesterday decided Southampton must pay an initial fee of pounds 250,000 for the Stoke midfielder Graham Potter.

Charlton Athletic have signed the Oldham midfield player Mark Brennan on a free transfer.
