After a convincing victory in their first test against the visitors, England found themselves subject to a revitalised Australian side that went on to win the second test by 405 runs. In the aftermath of a humiliating walkover, England will need to deliver a strong performance if they stand any chance of reclaiming the Ashes.

The match starts at 11am BST.
Location:
Edgbaston – the series is returning to the Birmingham ground for the first time since 2009 which culminated in a draw after heavy rain repeatedly prevented play throughout the third test.

News:
Australia’s batsman Chris Rogers has announced he is fit to play in the third test after recovering from a series of dizzy spells which blighted the 37-year-old in the second test.
Joe Root is confident that England’s Ian Bell will bounce back from the disappointing form that threatens his long test career. The 33-year-old has moved No 3 in the batting order.
Michael Clarke has confirmed that Peter Nevill will start as Australia’s wicketkeeper ahead of Brad Haddin.
