Stephen Peters top-scored with 76 as Worcestershire reached 212 for 5 against Kent at Canterbury. Peters put on 79 with Graeme Hick (38) and 53 with Vikram Solanki (32 not out), while Alamgir Sheriyar claimed 2 for 51 against his former county.

In the Second Division, Charlie Shreck took 3 for 61 as Nottinghamshire reduced Durham to 175 for 5 at the Riverside.
