India, who had qualified before this match, will play Sri Lanka in tomorrow's final at the same venue. Bangladesh, meanwhile, ended the series with four defeats out of four.
Kohli hit 11 boundaries and reached his second one-day international century with a scythed four through midwicket as India eased to their 248 target with seven overs to spare.
"He has made a few mistakes early in his career but he's been in awesome form in this tournament," said the India skipper MS Dhoni of the 21-year-old Kohli.
Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Shakib-Al-Hasan's 85 off 97 balls and Mohammad Mahmudullah's unbeaten 64 off 80 had lifted Bangladesh to 247 for six. The pair shared a 106-run sixth-wicket stand after Bangladesh had slumped to 95 for five in the 25th over.
