Your support makes all the difference.The West Indies' captain Carl Hooper believes his exciting young team can bring the good times back to Caribbean cricket.
"We are in a transition period, at a rebuilding stage, and we do not have seasoned campaigners," said Hooper. "However, we have talented, young and enthusiastic players and are confident that within the next couple of years West Indies' cricket will be back to what it was a few years ago."
Hooper, 34, explained his decision to return to the game, by adding: "West Indies' cricket was at a low ebb following the exit of so many experienced players. I knew that I had a lot more to offer."
Two of their great young hopes are the openers Daren Ganga and Chris Gayle. Gayle, 22, has scored 161 runs off just 145 balls in two matches against Sri Lanka A. Rain disrupted both games and the West Indies go into tomorrow's first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle lacking preparation.
