Byas is injured so Matthew Wood deputises and Yorkshire's impressive stock of fast bowlers is massively depleted with Darren Gough, Matthew Hoggard and Craig White on England duty, while Paul Hutchison and Ryan Sidebottom are definitely out injured and Chris Silverwood had a scan on his inflamed knee yesterday.

Leicestershire have a fully-fit squad to choose from, with Jon Dakin, Phil DeFreitas and Anil Kumble all returning to the 13-man squad.

Durham, desperate for a win against Somerset to pull them clear of the bottom three in the First Division, are without Nicky Peng and Graeme Bridge, who are playing for the England Under-19 XI. Michael Gough and Jimmy Daley take their places and Steve Harmison returns to the 12-man squad for Ian Hunter.

Somerset, already missing Andy Caddick and Marcus Trescothick with the full England side and Peter Trego with the juniors, find that Piran Holloway is also ruled out. Michael Burns and Adrian Pierson come into the side.
