From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. The England and Wales Cricket Board has expressed its unhappiness at the itinerary proposed by India for the teams' meetings later this year.

The Board for Control of Cricket in India has proposed that England begins its seven-week tour with two warmup matches in Mumbai and finishes with the last of two tests in the same city.

In between those games, there are seven one-day internationals, another warmup and the first test all in different cities.

The ECB is unhappy at the venues, which exclude major cricket venues Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai and Mohali.

"(We) are disappointed that, despite their representations, the itinerary doesn't offer the thousands of supporters who follow the England team abroad, the opportunity to experience more of the great cricket grounds of India," the ECB said Monday in a statement.

The ECB has yet to accept the itinerary, saying it will only do so "subject to acceptable logistical arrangements and an acceptable security environment and security arrangements being in place at each of the venues."

England is scheduled to arrive in Mumbai on 6 November and play the final test 19-23 December.
