Dougie Brown, Warwickshire's director of cricket, said Trott's call-up would be given serious consideration ahead of their next match, against Yorkshire's title rivals, Nottinghamshire on Sunday.
Trott, who has not played in the Championship since April because of his stress-related issues, followed his two T20 appearances last week with a century for Warwickshire's Second XI today.
The win re-inforced Yorkshire's position as favourite to win the title, but captain Andrew Gale told his players not to allow those thoughts to distract them.
Yorkshire were second to Durham last season, despite enjoying similar form for much of the campaign, but Gale said: "Last season we might have got carried away, thinking about the Championship. This season we have not even spoken about the title. We just want to win session by session."
Yorkshire dismissed Warwickshire for 186 in their second innings. William Porterfield's 43 over three hours was an isolated show of backbone as the visiting seamers ruthlessly worked through the card, with the promising assistance of left-arm spinner Karl Carver, just 18.
Yorkshire left Edgbaston aware that a win for Nottinghamshire over Somerset at Trent Bridge would leave the two sides level on 142 points at the top of the First Division.
Defending champions Durham are looking to revive their challenge by completing a second win in a row against Sussex, where England all-rounder Ben Stokes took 10 wickets in a match for the first time.
