An Australian cricketer has been suspended for defacing a wicket with a lewd image.

Daniel Worrall, a 22-year-old seam bowler for South Australia, was reported for breaching Article 2.2.11 of Cricket Australia's regulations by "acting in a way that a) was unbecoming of a representative and b) brought the game if cricket into disrepute" in March 14's Futures League game against Victoria.

A CA statement read: "During the match, Worrall scratched an image of a penis and testicles into a wicket that was being prepared for a Grade cricket final that coming weekend."

Worrall pleaded guilty to the charge but disputed the penalty of four suspension points. The penalty was upheld, ruling him out of either two four-day matches or four one-day or T20 matches. He has 48 hours to appeal.
