Your support makes all the difference.Sussex are to make a statement today amid reports that chairman Alan Caffyn is on the verge of resigning. The county's secretary, Nigel Bett, would neither confirm nor deny that Caffyn has bowed to the intense criticism of his handling of the county's crisis.
Caffyn's seven-year reign has come under fierce scrutiny since he said he believed the main reason for the mass exodus of top players from Hove was the "unpopularity" of the former captain Alan Wells.
This sparked a furious response from Wells, now with Kent, while Martin Speight also criticised Caffyn after joining Durham last week and urged members to "rise up" and help bring about change.
