The seamer took 5 for 58 as the home side scored 274 for 7 after the first day's wash-out.
Durham's captain, David Boon, put Leicestershire in and Darren Stevens scored a sparkling 98 with 17 fours before becoming one of Killeen's victims. Durham look certain to clinch a place in the top flight next season if they can pick up nine points from this match.
