Eddie Hearn has revealed that the upcoming fight between KSI and Logan Paul has sold 7,000 tickets thus far.

The Staples Centre, home to the Los Angeles Lakers, Clippers and Kings holds up to 21,000 people in capacity and is expected to sell out by fight night.

KSI and Paul meet in a rematch of their majority draw last year in the amateur ranks – but this time meet as professionals for the first time.

With both men holding a combined 40,000,000 subscribers on YouTube alone, it’s expected that the event could be the biggest in the sport of the year.

Hearn, however, admitted that he is surprised that the event has not sold more tickets.

“7,000,” Hearn told IFL TV.

“I thought it might go a bit quicker but Staples Centre said that’s phenomenal and it will be banged out.”

Last year’s event, which was held at the Manchester Arena in the United Kingdom, sold 20,000 tickets and is considered the “Biggest Event in Internet History”.

Hearn and Matchroom Boxing USA are promoting this event with it believed to be a big opportunity to gain subscribers for DAZN.
