From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Gervonta Davis steps up in the biggest fight of his career on Saturday against veteran Leo Santa Cruz in a battle for the WBA super featherweight and lightweight titles.

The fight will take place in San Antonio, Texas, with the contract weight set at 130 pounds, crucially this will present a challenge for the American, who missed weight against Francisco Fonseca.

Will ‘Tank’ be able to finally showcase his full potential after leaving his hometown of Baltimore to Las Vegas to work closely with his trainer Calvin Ford alongside mentor and promoter Floyd Mayweather Jr?

With Teofimo Lopez, Vasiliy Lomachenko, Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia, Luke Campbell and many more in the mix in and around both fighters’ weight, the winner should have many options ahead.

Here’s everything you need to know about the fight at the Alamodome in Texas.

When and where is the fight?
