From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Conor McGregor failed in his bid to dislodge Floyd Mayweather from the top of world boxing after being stopped in the 10th round of their Las Vegas showdown.

The two-weight UFC champions took the fight to the American boxer, but Mayweather's superior class soon told as he delivered one of his best performances in years to pick apart the Irishman, before the bout was ended in the tenth round.

In a bout that is believed to have earned both fighters more than $100m, a number of famous faces were at ringside to watch the action unfold, with a seat at the T-Mobile Arena clearly the hottest ticket in town.

A number of past boxing world champions flocked to the T-Mobile Arena, with former heavyweight Mike Tyson leading a star-studded line-up of true greats. Lennox Lewis, Prince Naseem Hamed and many more filled the ringside seats, while platinum singer Demi Lovato was not only in attendance but sang the American national anthem.

There were many other sporting greats at ringside, not least NBA star LeBron James, while A-listers from Hollywood were among those lucky enough to be in attendance with Bruce Willis, Don Cheedle and Ari Graynor among them.

Rock star Ozzy Osbourne was another to be spotted, along with his wife, Sharon, and son Jack, while Jennifer Lopez and Angelina Jolie were also spotted in the crowd, though both kept a much lower profile than those on the red carpet.
