A Kazakh bodybuilder caused pandemonium in Los Angeles when he decided to dress up as Conor McGregor and complete some workout routines around the city.

Islam Badurgov was immediately mobbed upon taking to the streets in LA dressed in an open Versace shirt, complete with smart sunglasses and a stick-on beard.

He also had copies of McGregor’s famous tattoos etched onto his chest, back and arm, completely fooling hundreds of UFC fans in the city.

A video of Badurgov swaggering around the city and completing several impressive workout routines immediately went viral, with fans swarming around him in an attempt to get a photograph – almost bringing the city to standstill.

After finally deciding to call it a day and ditching his disguise, one of Badurgov’s friends took to Facebook to share a picture of the two standing in front of a luxury car, with a caption revealing why they had decided to prank the city of LA.

He wrote: “Friends, meet Arthur Topelov... famous Kazakhstan actor. He was the main man in our prank.

“As soon as he screamed Conor McGregor, the crowd went crazy and screamed with him. Without him, our video wouldn't have gotten so interesting and wouldn't have spilled on the internet.

“The prank was created to support great warrior Conor McGregor... in his upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather. We truly believe in his victory.”

The prank was so successful because McGregor is partial to the odd public workout or two, having previously wowed the crowds at Muscle Beach with a series of pull-ups and elaborate stretching exercises.

McGregor (the real one that is) will be making his professional boxing debut when he takes on Floyd Mayweather on August 26.
