Chris Eubank Jnr has come under fire after stating that his father would track down any ring girls who ‘photobombed’ him during interviews and ‘pie’ them.

The super-middleweight champion made the remarks on Twitter after defending his IBO world title against Avni Yildirim, knocking the Turkish challenger out in the third round of their Saturday night fight.

As the Briton gave his post-fight interview, Chris Eubank Snr can be seen ushering away two ring girls who had come into shot behind him.

Eubank Jnr joked afterwards: "To all ring girls. Do not photobomb me as my dad has a very particular set of skills.

"He will look for u, he will find u and he will pie u."

The tweet prompted a sharp backlash, with fans criticising the boxer for his remarks.

Lily Allen notably responded, urging Eubank Jnr to respect women.

"They are doing their job,” she wrote on Twitter. “Your dad went bankrupt and gave you to a stranger in Vegas, the only photobomber here is him. #respectwomen."

She later posted: "I respect the ring girls" - and retweeted other comments about how the 'joke' was "not funny".
