Anthony Joshua calls himself the ‘boss’ in Tyson Fury fight talks

Talks have been progressing well this year between both heavyweight world champion’s teams, with Oleksandr Usyk set to face Joe Joyce to clear the path for all four belts to be on the line when Joshua and Fury meet later this year.
Joshua, who holds the IBF, WBA and WBO titles, revealed this week that he had “another positive meeting” with “things shaping up nicely” in negotiations.
But he has now delivered a message directly to Fury, who owns the WBC title, about who is the ‘A’ side of the fight.

“We’re working on a date for around June,” Joshua told Sky Sports. “So if Tyson is serious, which I think he is, he’ll know where to come and find the boss!
“I’m ready. I’m really looking forward to competition - all I want to do is fight, fight, fight!”
Despite promoter Eddie Hearn mentioning a number of options to host the fight in recent months, including Saudi Arabia, America, Qatar, Dubai, Singapore and China, Joshua insists the UK is still an “option”.
Andy Ruiz Jr, who Joshua outpointed in 2019 to win back his world titles before going on to dispatch Kubrat Pulev last year, is leaning towards Fury should the pair meet.
“I think that it’s gonna be an interesting fight. I fought Anthony Joshua, I haven’t fought Tyson Fury. Tyson Fury has a real style, he’s tall, he fights tall,” Ruiz Jr told Little Giant Boxing.
“I kinda see Tyson Fury winning that fight. I wasn’t too impressed with Anthony Joshua’s last performance, but he got the job done.
“I think maybe Tyson Fury might get him, depends how awkward he is. If he boxes – Anthony hasn’t fought anybody that boxes around and moves around, so we’ll see.”
