From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. The bookmakers are are finding it difficult to work out who will win the semi-final between France and Germany at Euro 2016.

Hosts France are 9-5 with BetVictor to come out on top at Stade Velodrome in 90 minutes, while the Germans have been chalked up at 19-10 and the draw is 2-1.

Joachim Low’s side are now the 13-8 tournament favourites, despite needing penalties to reach the last four. In contrast, the French spanked Iceland 5-2 yet are 7-4 in the outright market.

The Germans have looked solid at the back, conceding just one goal, and France’s main strength is in attack – no team at the tournament has scored more than their 11 goals.

A French win in 90 minutes and less than four goals being scored is 85-40 and a German victory without them conceding is 17-5.

Antoine Griezmann’s goal against Iceland made him the top scorer at the Euros with four and you can get 18-1 on him netting before the 15th minute. He is also 4-1 to score in a France win.

Another penalty shoot-out win for the Germans is 9-1 and BetVictor offer 85-40 on Thomas Muller scoring his first goal of the tournament during the game (90 minutes only).
