From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. England are set for a win bonus if they see off Slovakia in their final Group B game.

As group winners, Roy Hodgson’s side would face what should be one of the easier last-16 clashes against one of the four best-placed third teams to qualify.

England are 8-11 with BetVictor to win in St Etienne, while Slovakia, who could still end up topping the group themselves, are 22-5 to prevail and the draw is 5-2.

England’s odds on winning the Euros were shortened to 7-1 following their 2-1 win against Wales. Jamie Vardy, who set England on their way to victory in Lens, is now 5-2 to be England’s top scorer at the tournament and 20-1 to win the Golden Boot at the Euros. Gareth Bale, who scored his second goal of the tournament in the defeat against England, can be backed at 10-1.

Harry Kane was the favourite to score the most goals for England before the Finals began but he now faces a major battle to keep his place against Slovakia following the impact made by Vardy and fellow substitute Daniel Sturridge, who scored a last-gasp winner against Wales.

BetVictor make Sturridge 5-1 to score the opener in the clash against Slovakia, while a goal from the striker in an England victory is 9-4.

You can also get 5-6 on England scoring more than seven goals at the Euros and Roy Hodgson’s side are now 13-8 to be eliminated at the last-16 stage and 9-4 to suffer a quarter-final exit.
