Basketball: Henlan misses Kings' date
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The 6ft 10in Henlan misses Guildford's Budweiser League game at home to Sunderland Scorpions tonight, from which the Kings had to omit one player to comply with salary- cap restrictions. Guildford are unbeaten.
Birmingham Bullets, who are tonight at home to Worthing Bears, the League champions and current leaders, are giving free admission to all spectators under 5ft tall as they continue to seek 'record' crowds in promoting their move this season to the National Indoor Arena.
Two weeks ago the Bullets attracted a league-best in excess of 4,000 by admitting all women free.
The Bears, whose players were suffering from flu in midweek, hauled themselves from their sick-beds in the final 90 seconds to score the game's last 10 points in an 87-77 win at Leicester, extending their unbeaten run to six games after losing to Guildford on the first day of the season.
